Illustrators of the Future

The deadline for submissions for the Illustrators of the Future Contest is rapidly approaching.

The contest is run in conjunction with the Writers of the Future which makes for some good-natured rivalry between the groups. Unfortunately noone took my suggestion of renaming it the (Illustrators and Writers of the Future Contest.) September 30 is the last day to get art in for the fourth quarter judging.

As a winner of this contest, I can say that it was a memorable event. Ron Lindahn, one of the judges during my year was correct in saying that, "This is the biggest deal anyone will ever make over you making a sale." But it is a lot more than that. It is a chance to have your work critiqued by some of the most talented artists in the science fiction genre.
