On Sunday September 14 at 2:00 pm we lost power as the remnants of hurricane Ike grazed Ohio and finally, today, September 17 after 4:00 we got power back. Three days without power is an amazingly long time! But it wasn't just us. Nearly 1,000,000 customers across the state and 250,000 in our area were without power.
I'll blog more later but for now I need to get some sleep and try to take care of this head cold I contracted this morning. Mold counts and pollen are way up and I feel awful. Thousands of trees were knocked down around the area but we were very luck to have no damage beyond the refrigerator.
The ice cream is gone!
