On A Sidenote: Robotech Mapping

Now that I have heard that Robotech might become a live-action movie, I'm reminded of a fun piece I worked on a while back and occasionally pull out to think about and make notes on.


I thought it would be fun to create a map of Macross Island (aka. South Ataria Island). It's still in progress but I like where I have gone with it so far.

It's the mapmaker in me.

I just hope that when the movie is made, it is done RIGHT. Macross/Robotech is a massive story and invariably, Hollywood leaves things out or changes characters. This one has got to be good for me to pay attention. Perhaps they could look to the Macross: Do You Remember Love? movie for inspiration!
