Work In Progress

This piece is almost finished.

It has gone through several iterations and a complete change in the starship design. At one point it was actually two separate images.

I'm particularly happy with the apearance of the carrier in the foregound, especially the splash of spray behind. It may have a little more work yet to go because the huge open space to the left bothers me. I'm still not sure what to do with it exactly.

I wanted to convey awesome power compared to the most powerful weapons we have on earth. To me, it is just a matter of time before someone bigger and stronger comes along. My hope is that they will be benevolent and view us with the understanding of a parent rather than a threat.
